Mat Kearney

I've really enjoyed Mat Kearney's "Nothing Left To Lose" since I got it. The release I have, unfortunately, does not have "Breathe In Breathe Out" on it, so I had to download it. I got the video from iTunes.

WOW! What a great song, and the video is very poignant. Mat says on his website that this is one of the best songs he's written. I think he's right.

Very reminiscent of Coldplay's "The Scientist". In fact, some people compare Mat to Coldplay.

This album is great. One of those rare ones where I like the entire album, rather than one or two songs. I listen to it quite often, and once Denise caught me singing "Nothing left To Lose" while I was cleaning the kitchen. Now, I don't sing aloud often cause my voice makes dogs run away yelping in fright, so that oughta tell you how much I like his music.

Breath In Breathe Out - Mat Kearney

Breathe in, breathe out
Tell me all of your doubts
Everybody bleeds this way, just the same
Breathe in, breathe out
Move on and break down
If everyone goes away, I will stay
We push and pull
And I fall down sometimes
And I’m not letting go
You hold the other line
Cause there is a light in your eyes, in your eyes

Hold on, hold tight
If I’m out of your sight
And everything keeps moving on, moving on
Hold on, hold tight
Make it through another night
In every day there comes a song with the dawn
We push and pull
And I fall down sometimes
And I’m not letting go
You hold the other line
Cause there is a light in your eyes, in your eyes
There is a light in your eyes, in your eyes

Breathe in and breathe out
Breathe in and breathe out
Breathe in and breathe out
Breathe in and breathe out

Look left, look right
To the moon and the night
Everything under the stars is in your arms

Cause there is a light in your eyes, in your eyes
There is a light in your eyes, in your eyes
There is a light in your eyes, in your eyes
